El trabajo describe la geología, características físico-químicas y clasificación del agua de los manantiales termales de la Punilla (Valles Calchaquíes). En base a los geotermómetros químicos, se estima la temperatura del agua del reservorio en profundidad. Por último, se esboza un modelo geotérmico preliminar del área, indicando la posible ubicación de la zona de recarga, percolación y vías de ascenso del agua. The work describes the geology, physical and chemical characteristics and classification of the Punilla thermal water spring (Valles Calchaquíes). The temperatures of the deep water in the reservoir had been estimated using chemical geothermometers. Finally, a preliminary geothermal pattern of the area es outlined, indicating the possible location of the overload zone, percolation and way of ascension of the thermal water termal.
