<br/><br/> New cenozoic formations, outcroping the eastern border of the argentine Puna, are studied and described.-They are nominated Singuel Fomation and Catal Fomation.The first one outcrops in the Pastos Grandes basin, and the second one surrounding the Farallón Catal in the Hombre Muerto basin.-The fomations consists on conglomerates and tobaceous materials. They are assigned Upper Pliocen age.The correlations with other formations and its paleogeographic interpretation are realized.  Se estudian y describen dos nuevas unidades fomacionales senoziocas, aflorantes en el borde oriental de la Puna argentina.- Las mismas se designan como Formación singuel y Formación Catal. La primera aflora en la depresión de Pastos Grandes, mientras que la segunda está representada en el islote recoso de Farallón Catal, en al salar Hombre Muerto.- Ambas fomaciones se integran fundamentalmente de conglomerados y material tobáceo, siendo su edad pliosena superior.- Se realizan correlaciones con unidades aflorantes en otras provincias geológicas, como así también su interpretación paleogeográfica.
