An unconfined aquifer has been developed in flood sediments of Miraflores River vasin in the Abra Pampa graben (Jujuy province: 22º 15' - 23º 17' lat. south; 65º 32'- 66º 15'long. West). Its hydraulc characterists have been determined through two mechanical sounding which had shown a base of a white cemented, compacted sandstone at 35 meters of depth (mensured in de middle of de valley). -It was found that the volumen "Q" varies from 900 to 1600m3 day, with a depression lower than 13(tanto/ciento) The coefficient of transmisibility goes from 600 to 2500 m2 / day with a quick recuperation and ono excellent qualitu water.
