Relevamiento: 1982.

Se efectúa esta investigación a los fines de continuar el estudio de Provincia Metalogenética Sedimentaria que iniciamos ya hace tiempo y cuyo concepto fue adelantado por el autor CHOMNALES (1978). Se describe la constitución mineralógica y la génesis, etc., en base de un muestreo realizado en el área que enunciamos en el título de este trabajo sobre el cual se hicieron similares investigaciones (1978), de manera que el presente constituye una complementación de aquel ya que se extiende a las manifestaciones ferríferas en la Provincia de Salta. -En general, para la geología de la zona nos remitimos a BELLMANN (1977). -Sobre el mineral que dio origen, en su mayor proporción a el Horizonte Ferrifero ya en 1962 pensábamos se trataba de una chamosita, lo que fue confirmado por los estudios de BOSSI-VIRAMONTE (1975) y ANGELELLI et ais (1976). -La presente investigación forma parte de una de las áreas de investigación que desarrolla el Instituto de Ciencias Geológicas de al Universidad Nacional de Jujuy.

This investigation has been undertaken in order to poceed with the study concerning the Sedimentary Metallogenetic Province, wich was begun some time ago and the main theme of which has already been dealt with by the autor CHOMINALE (1978). -Here we describe the mineral constitution of a sampling performed in the area mentioned in the title of this paper. Similar investigations were done in 1978, of which, the present work is a complement extendeb to the autcrops od the Ferriferous Horizont in the province of Salta. -Regarding the mineral that gave origin to the majority of these sedimentary deposits, we already were of the opinion (in 1962) that it was chamosite, a fact that was later confirmed by the investigations carried by BOSSI-VIRAMONTE (1975) and by ANGELELLI et als (1976). -The resent report is the result ot one of the many research projects carried on at the Institute of Geology of the University of Jujuy.
